A few weeks ago, I had the profound pleasure of meeting one of my favorite authors and inventors, Hi-Dong Chai. His book, “Shattered by Wars but Sustained by Love” was truly inspiring. I’ll never forget the funny stories he told me. For example, when he was a kid, he idolized Thomas Edison and wanted to invent the light bulb- just like him! He also showed me his Mother’s grave- which was so important to me because when I read his book, I felt like she was so strong and had been through so much. I paid my respects to someone whom I admire. After all, she held her family together through WWII and the Korean War. I highly recommend his book to anyone who’s interested in history, or for someone who wants to be inspired. I am truly grateful to have read his story.
